Disney Announces Movies for Next Two Years

Disney recently announced the movies they will release over the next two years. Here are some of the top titles to look for.

Disney Pixar Director for the next animated feature announced “The Good Dinosaur.” A movie about humans and dinosaurs living together. It will arrive in theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be released Dec. 18, 2015. This new Star Wars takes place after “Return of the Jedi.” There is much anticipation by Star Wars fans for December to arrive.

“I can’t wait for these new releases to come out,” said Adam Brinkman a Waldorf College Senior and movie enjoyer.

“The Finest Hours” staring Eric Bana and Casey Affleck is based off the true story of a rescue off the coast of Cape Cod. This movie will be released Jan. 29, 2016.

“Zootopia,” directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore will be released March 4, 2016. The film follows a fox who is being framed for a crime and he runs.

“Alice Through the Looking Glass” is a sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 film. With a cast of Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter, there should be exciting things to see on May 27, 2016.

Disney’s first every live-action version of “The Jungle Book” is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2016. The cast includes Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong-o, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken.

One of the most talked about sequels to come is “Finding Dory.” It premiers June 17, 2016 with Ellen DeGeneres as the voice of Dory again.

“My mom is really excited for ‘Finding Dory’ so I might go see that with her,” said Nathan Meiners, Waldorf College junior.

“Moana,” Disney’s 56th animated movie, is about a teen who searches for a fabled island in the South Pacific. “Moana” will be released on Nov. 23, 2016.

“I love all things Disney and can’t wait for them to release their 56th animated film,” said Kaylie Brindley, Waldorf College sophomore.

With many more movies released these were just a few titles to look for.
