World Student Association (WSA) hosted karaoke night for the Waldorf Students.

WSA is a club on campus where domestic and international students can come and share traditions and cultures where they’re from.

The event took place on Jan. 28, 2022, in the Salveson Ballroom and started at 8 p.m.

Torri-Ann Francis, President of WSA said she was happy with the event.

“I was super excited that our event turned out this successful again,” Francis said. “We were short numbered with our audience because we were competing with the basketball game, but that didn’t stop us from putting on our show.”

There were refreshments served during the event. There was popcorn, lemonade, pop and people partaking in karaoke.

Mohamed Lamin Yokie, secretary of WSA said he enjoyed every bit.

“It warms my heart to see that so many people came out to support us, even President Bob was there for a while and he enjoyed himself,” Yokie said. “Karaoke was really fun. I sang so many songs, the crowd went crazy and I just hope to see people continue to support us.”

After the last song was performed, the participants had a dance. This was WSA’s first event of the semester and they plan to have more as the semester goes on.
