Warriors assist Hanson Family Life Center through service project

FOREST CITY – With a vested interest in the community, the Waldorf University men’s soccer team did their part to ensure playground safety by lending a helping hand to the Hanson Family Life Center through a service project on Sunday.
The Warriors worked together to improve safety measures at the child care center’s playground facility by installing a new layer of rubber in the play area, filling holes and making sure there were no drop-offs where children could potentially fall.
Waldorf’s players and coaches engage in community service on a consistent basis, and providing assistance to the youth of the community is a project the players took great pride in.
“It was a great opportunity for us to help young children,” Waldorf coach Michael Wilson said.” Safety is extremely important to us, so we jumped at the chance to help. The players and coaching staff are always looking for new ways to help the Forest City community.”
