Top 10 Things to do in Forest City

Many believe that since Forest City is a small community, there is nothing to do. This cannot be farther from the truth. There might be more to do than you expect in Forest City.
- For people who prefer outdoors, Pilot Knob State Park could be a good fit. Pilot Knob is a great place to go and get some fresh air while being surrounded by nature. Visitors can enjoy trails and the view from the Observation Tower.
- People who enjoy looking and learning about history should consider visiting the Mansion Museum. People can learn about at the fire that happened in 1967 or the country schoolhouse records. They also have a numerous photographs for visitors to view.
- For residents who are getting cramped in their house or dorm room and want some exercise, Forest City has Funky Monkey, a place where visitors can do tumbling and gymnastics.
- Forest City also has a YMCA, where you can work out and practice a number of sports. Some of these activities include swimming, shooting hoops and lifting weights.
- Forest City has some great food options to choose from. If you’re craving great American food, A&W is where it’s at.
- If you’re looking for something a little different, you might want to try Ay Jalisco. They have some great Mexican food.
- If you have had a craving for some Chinese food, Forest City has you covered. Golden Chopsticks, provides fast and delicious Chinese takeout.
- Not wanting to drive too far for a date night? In this town, people can make a wonderful date out of two places. The Forest City SuperBowl is one great date location. Bowling is the perfect date night activity in town.
- After that, head over to Scoopy Doo’s Ice Cream & More to cap off the night with desserts.
- Looking for some live entertainment? Check out the Boman Fine Arts Center. They have live musicians and speakers weekly.
While Forest City is a small town, the community definitely is not lacking in entertainment.
