During the week of Jan. 23-27, 2017, freshman Savanna Cordle was awarded Warrior of the Week for cleaning up the bathroom on her floor.
Cordle is a Business major from Waltham, Minnesota with a population of about 150 people. “It’s a very small town, more or less a village,” Cordle said. Cordle was awarded Warrior of the Week for picking paper towels up off the floor when no one was there to tell him to do so.
“We have a fan in our bathroom that blows the paper towels out of the trash bin so I just picked them up off the floor,” Cordle said.
Cordle elaborates on the favorite parts of Waldorf for her, “I enjoy that the classes are small so I can have one on one time with the professors if I need it.” Cordle is involved in various activities on campus including: volleyball, wind ensemble, Love Your Melon and Rotary Club. Rotaract is the college branch of Rotary International, whose mission of “Service above Self” mirrors Waldorf’s mission of “Learn. Live. Serve.”
Warrior of the Week is only awarded to those who go out of their way to do a good deed. Savanna Cordle was a worthy recipient.
