FOREST CITY – Megan Cronkwright is set to continue her athletic career in her hometown as a member of the Waldorf University cheerleading team.
Cronkwright, a Forest City High School senior, signed a letter of intent with the Warriors last Thursday.
“Megan will make a great Warrior,” Waldorf coach Dyanna Quisling said. “She will step into the squad as a back base with some solid experience at Forest City High School the last couple of years. We look forward to having Megan on the squad next fall.”
During Cronkwright’s cheer career at Forest City, she was a two-year varsity letter winner for the Indians. She is the daughter of Tina and Daimon Perry and Doug and Lisa Cronkwright. Cronkwright plans to study criminal justice at Waldorf. She chose to join the Warriors, so she could stay close to her family while furthering her education.
“It’s close to home, and I can cheer and learn,” Cronkwright said. “I can be part of a team, build better friendships and support my college.”
