Brittany Puhrmann is a relatively new staff member of the Waldorf University Luise V. Hanson Library. She joined the library staff in 2016. Puhrmann is one of the two new evening Library Assistants hired at the library this school year.
Puhrmann got her Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies at Florida International University. She got her B.S. in Anthropology at Iowa State University. “I came to Waldorf University when my husband got a job as an assistant professor of criminal justice here,” Puhrmann said.
Puhrmann explains what she likes the most about Waldorf University and the library is, “The feeling of community.” Puhrmann elaborates on some of her biggest challenges of working at the library. “That is a hard question. Probably having the opposite work schedule of my husband is the most challenging, since I work nights and he works days,” Puhrmann said.
She was asked what her favorite part of the job was; “The exposure. I get to meet a lot of the students at Waldorf,” Puhrmann said.
Some things Puhrmann likes to do for fun are: reading, writing and playing board games. Puhrmann helps manage the library in the evening while also working some on the Waldorf Archives. She and her husband host table top game nights in the library lounge on Wednesday nights 5-7 p.m.
