Crail, Osborne earn NSAA Player of the Week honors

FOREST CITY – The Waldorf College women’s soccer team swept the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Players-of-the-Week honors as junior midfielder Mia Crail captured Offensive Player of the Week recognition and junior defender Julia Osborne was tabbed the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week.
The Warriors (2-8) earned back-to-back road victories last with a 2-1 win over Clarke University (1-9) and a 3-0 shutout against Mount Mercy University (3-7-1).
Crail provided both of the goals in the Warriors’ victory over Clarke. The Mililani, Hawaii native added another goal in Waldorf’s win over Mount Mercy. Crail has seven total points on the season with three goals and an assist.
Osborne, a native of Gilbert, Ariz., played a pivotal role for the Warrior defense that allowed just one goal through the two matches.
Waldorf opens NSAA play against Viterbo University (4-7) on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Bolstorff Field.
