Joseph Becomes School’s First Four-Year All-American

Waldorf Quarterback Hilton Joseph earned NAIA All-American Honors for his stellar play this past season. He received Honorable Mention recognition amongst all the schools in NAIA football.

Since 2004, when Waldorf switched from a two-year school to a four-year school, no Warrior football player has won All-American recognition.

Until “Bo” Joseph earned it this year.

The NSAA Offensive Most Valuable Player guided the Warriors to a 5-5 record, while securing second place in the conference with a 5-2 finish in conference games.

The dual-threat QB broke several Waldorf single-season records: completions (170), passing attempts (291), passing yards (2,392) and passing TDs (27).

“It’s pretty surreal to see your name on the list of All-Americans,” said Joseph, “I have to give credit to my teammates and coaches, though, for putting me in favorable positions to make plays.”

The Miami, FL native was able to lead a potent offensive attack which saw the Warriors average more than 37 points a game and rank sixth in total offense per game with 489 yards.

Joseph ranked seventh in total individual offense per game at the NAIA-level with 294 yards, showing off his video game-like numbers.

“As of this point in my career, he is by far the best player I have ever played with,” said offensive lineman Zach Throne, “His ability to single-handedly wreck a game on the ground and through the air made us a tough offense to stop.”

Joseph still holds one more year of athletic eligibility, as a redshirt junior, and is still undecided about his future at Waldorf as a football player.

“We would, obviously, love to have Bo back,” said Throne, “But I just want him to make the best decision for him and his future, whether that is coming back to play another year, or returning home to join the workforce.”

If Joseph decides that he will forego his last year of eligibility, then many already consider him one of Waldorf’s most decorated football players ever.
